A picture says more than a thousand words
Artists and designers Felix Heyes and Ben West from the UK have created a piece of art both useful and entertaining. Google image dictionary is a 1240-page book every lover of art and technology should include in their collection. A collection of photographs from Google image search results for each word in the British dictionary. The two artists took the first image result for each of the 21.000 words every dictionary should include and created this unique dictionary book. The two artists created the book using two simple PHP scripts which were collecting the pictures for each word in the dictionary and then creating a PDF with photos divided into columns. Apparently there will be a limited series of books printed and the creators are hoping to avoid any problems with copyright issues.
