The Flashback botnet virus that recently infected thousands of Mac computers was finally acknowledged by Apple.
The whole virus issue not only caused Apple's software and security team disturbance, but also had an influence on Apple advertising campaigns.
The virus infected over 650.000 worldwide. It even infected over 300 systems in Apple's main offices.
Specifically, Apple's advertising team was forced to replace the phrase "no PC infections" with "is constructed to be safe"
and the phrase "secure for your data without having to do anything" with "Security is built into the operating system."
Apple also removed from the website the safety reports of the operating system OS X in terms of vulnerability to viruses and are taking the issue of security more seriously than ever.
