Apple holds an ‘iPad Mini’ event on October 23
The Apple news blogs and event booking companies like Stubhub have been reporting on this for quite a while now, with the rumours coming in more than ever it is not surprising that it has turned out to be true . Apple has announced that they will be holding an event on the 23rd October Apple news sites like the Armenante Apple news blog have been reporting that the 7.85 inch tablet has been in the works for months now, it was rumored to be released at the same time as the iPhone 5 however sadly that wasn’t the case.
Apple waiting till now to announce this device isn’t completely unplanned as they are releasing it 3 days after the Microsoft surface tablet gets released, which I’m sure Apple is hoping will take some of the attention away from Microsoft.
Allotting reported that the event would be held at this date way back in August with this quote:
“Apple will hold a special event space rentals this month at which it will showcase a new, smaller iPad. People familiar with Apple’s plans tell us that the company will unveil the so-called “iPad mini” on October 23 at an invitation-only event.
That’s a Tuesday, not a Wednesday, so this is a bit of a break with recent tradition. It also happens to be just three days prior to the street date for Microsoft’s new Surface tablet.”
The iPad mini however isn’t the only product Apple is rumoured to be announcing at this event with the event seeming to be centred on portability. It seems like a good time for them to also release their latest notebook the 13inch Retina MacBook Pro. There are even rumours that Apple will announce a refresh to the iMac at this event as well. However this many products from Apple in one event does seem unlikely.
Either way return here to find out the latest product announcements.
