Microsoft Office on iPad and Android Devices in Early 2013

If you are among the users of iPhone, iPad, and Android devices that have been patiently waiting for the inclusion of Microsoft Office on these gadgets, then your wait may finally be over.

Next year, no exact date yet but the early parts are to be expected, favored Microsoft Office programs like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and others will appear on iPad, iPhone, and Android mobile gadgets.

This release was leaked by The Verge, a tech blog, and it mentioned that the source of this information was from some close informants associated with Microsoft. In the blog site’s disclosure, The Verge maintains that Microsoft Office’s mobile application will be revealed in 2013 but with no definite date of launch. However, the site mentioned that it will happen in the early part of next year.

The presence of MS Office suite on these devices is not really a recent idea or news especially in the tech world. Beforehand, Microsoft already mentioned that they will feature a mobile edition of their very popular and widely used MS Office product. However, during that time and up to now, the renowned company did not say and confirm any date for its appearance on mobile devices.

In the mobile adaptation called Office Mobile, the application will allow users of Android, iPad, and iPhone devices to view, as well as, edit files that are in MS Word, Excel, or PowerPoint formats. This is certainly great news however it should be noted that the Office Mobile version will not allow full functionality of these programs as seen and used on desktop editions.

To avail the Office Mobile users will need to subscribe to MS Office 365 which has a £5 subscription fee per month. With regard to this revelation, Microsoft is yet to confirm or make a comment.
